Small Industrial & Farm turbines
- 6 – 15kW wind turbines
- Suitable for commercial, light industrial and agricultural properties
The Proven 6 and Proven 15 are ideal in a range of applications and have been widely adopted and used in schools, local authority buildings, farms, business retail premises, telecoms applications and small industrial units.
The Proven 6 produces up to 6kW of power. In ideal conditions this turbine model has the capability to produce the equivalent electricity to supply a standard 4-6 bedroom house, excluding heating, and has the potential to store or sell excess production to the grid, should local regulations allow.
The Proven 15 has the capability to supply the equivalent to 3 medium sized houses, again with the potential to store or sell excess production to the grid, dependent upon local regulations.
Generating electricity from a wind turbine contributes to reductions in CO2 Emissions and global climate change. Some electricity companies are offering incentives to people generating their own electricity by paying for each unit produced. Grants and funding for installations are widely available for consumers and businesses. For further information about grants please visit www.LowCarbonBuildings.co.uk.

* Based on an ideal site and average wind speed of 5m/s
Recommended Location spec
• Min Average wind speed – 5m/s at 10m agl**
• Min Installation Space – 20m x 5.5m (15kW = 35m x 9m)
• Surrounding area should be free from obstructions for a distance of 5 x Rotor Diameter in any direction.
• Access for articulated lorry, concrete mixer, JCB or similar
• Ventilated indoor wall space of 1.5m x 2m is required for control gear (ideally close to fuse board)
**agl – Above Ground Level
