This new high precision CNC controlled Taping Machine is part of a range of electromechanical automation equipment now offered by Rotary Engineering UK Ltd.
This machine is suitable for rotor bar and some forms of stator coil taping.
This machine uses a robot from COMAU, operated by a fully digital control panel.
The wrapping tension, overlap rate and all other parameters can be set on the touch screen. It can be used automatically or manually and comes equipped with an anti-shock function for manipulators grasp and a multipoint safeguard arrangement.
To tape a new coil, the operator simply installs the spread coil on the pre-adjusted supporting mechanisms.
The machine can then memorise the wrapping track of the coil. The machine can operate either with single or dual reels and can tape different angles and different speeds which can be set depending on the coil size and shape.
