Rotary Engineering UK Ltd, based in Sheffield, combines traditional engineering skills and expertise with modern engineering facilities. Core business expertise includes workshop equipment, electromagnets and commercial renewable installations. We have three CAD seats which enable us to bring customers' ideas to life in the form of professionally created sketches, 3D models, full engineering drawings and working prototypes.

Research, product design and development are crucial to the business and this is reflected in our ability to meet our customers changing demands and deliver bespoke engineering solutions. We take pride in working closely with the Advance Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), TWI, University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.

The company has been recognised as an Investor in People, showcasing our committed to our employees. This is also reflected in our good staff retention. We are keen to develop younger people and employ apprentices, graduates on training schemes and interns.

We employ 26 people, 16 are engineering and technical based and the rest of our staff are situated in the offices. Each one of our staff member brings something unique to the business.

More recently the team at Rotary saw the opportunity to apply their skills to the renewable energy market and now install wind turbines and solar photovoltaic panels on a commercial scale under the trading name of  Rotary Renewables ™.

The company was formed in 2003, after a Management Buy-Out. This brought together Rotary Electrical and Rotary Burnand as a new business whilst retaining the skills and expertise acquired over half a century in the motor rewind and magnet businesses. We brought new investment to the company and in 2010; new premises were purchased to provide for expansion.
